Creating the Pardot Section in your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Lead and Contact Layouts

Instructions for MSCRM 2011

  1. Click Settings in the bottom left.
  2. Click Customization in the top left navigation.
  3. Click Customize The System.
  4. Click on Entities.
  5. Double click on Lead.
  6. Click of Forms.
  7. Click on your main form.
  8. Click on the Insert tab and click on Two-Column.
  9. The name should be something like Pardot .
  10. Then add the Pardot fields by dragging from the fields on the right side of the window (you can make the list smaller by changing the filter to custom fields).
  11. To add the Pardot section in your Contact layouts, please repeat steps 1-11. In step 5, instead of double clicking Lead, double click Contact.

Instructions for earlier versions of MSCRM

Please note: Microsoft Dynamics version 4.0 or higher is required to use the connector in Pardot.
  1. Click Settings in the bottom left.
  2. Click Customization in the top left navigation.
  3. Click Customize Entities.
  4. Double click on Lead.
  5. Click Forms and Views.
  6. Double click Form.
  7. Click Add a Section in the Common Tasks to the right.
  8. The name should be something like Pardot, the width can be 115, and the tab can be General.
  9. Select Two Columns on the Formatting tab.
  10. Click Ok.
  11. Then add the Pardot fields to this section by clicking Add Fields in the Common Tasks menu to the right.
  12. Select the fields you would like to add, select the newly created Pardot section, and click ok.
  13. To add the Pardot section in your Contact layouts, please repeat steps 1-12. In step 4, instead of double clickingLead, double click Contact.
