Viewing Social Media Profiles in Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Instructions for MSCRM 2011

These instructions require that you have already added the Pardot Activities Iframe to MSCRM; please click here in the MSCRM Connector series for more details. To add the Pardot Social iframe to the Dynamics user interface, you will want to follow the steps below for both Contacts and Leads:
  1. Click Settings in the bottom left.
  2. Click Customization in the top left navigation.
  3. Click Customize The System.
  4. Click on Entities.
  5. Double click on Lead.
  6. Double click Form.
  7. Click on the Main form.
  8. Click on the insert tab and click on Add an IFRAME.
  9. On the General tab, make the name IFRAME_Social.
  10. Make the URL https://pi.pardot.com/qwerly/socialData/source/mscrm/email/{email}
  11. Make sure that Restrict cross-frame scripting is unchecked.
  12. Click OK.
  13. Double click on the new iframe in the layout.
  14. Click the Formatting tab.
  15. Set the layout to Two columns.
  16. Set the Number of Rows to 8.
  17. Ensure the Scrolling is set to Never.
  18. Click Ok.
  19. Click Form Properties.
  20. Expand the Form Libraries section
  21. Locate the event added for Activites
  22. Click Edit
  23. Add this line of code to the function: So the finished product will look something like this:
  24. Click Ok and Save and Close. Then Publish the changes.
A live lead should look more or less like the following image:

Instructions for earlier versions of MSCRM

Please note: Microsoft Dynamics version 4.0 or higher is required to use the connector in Pardot. These instructions require that you have already added the Pardot Activities Iframe to MSCRM; please click here in the MSCRM Connector series for more details. To add the Pardot Social iframe to the Dynamics user interface, you will want to follow the steps below for both Contacts and Leads:
  1. Click Settings in the bottom left.
  2. Click Customization in the top left navigation.
  3. Click Customize Entities.
  4. Double click on Lead.
  5. Click Forms and Views.
  6. Double click Form.
  7. Click Add an IFRAME in the Common Tasks menu.
  8. On the General tab, make the name IFRAME_Social.
  9. Make the URL https://pi.pardot.com/qwerly/socialData/source/mscrm/email/{email}
  10. Make sure that Restrict cross-frame scripting is unchecked.
  11. Select Pardot for the Section.
  12. Click the Formatting tab.
  13. Set the layout to Two columns.
  14. Set the Number of Rows to 8.
  15. Click Ok.
  16. Click Form Properties.
  17. Highlight OnLoad and click Edit.
  18. Check the box for Event is enabled and add the following script:
  19. Click Ok and Save and Close. Then Publish the changes.
