Manually Setting up Custom Fields in SugarCRM

Concept

If you would prefer to install the fields manually, you can follow the steps below rather than installing the package above. Pardot has several custom fields that can be synced as well. To sync them, create the following fields in SugarCRM for Leads and Contacts. Nothing additional needs to be done in Pardot. Note: Fields will automatically be appended with '_c' once they are created in SugarCRM.

Before you Begin

If your CRM has security features enabled to restrict logins to a limited set of IP ranges, you will need to have your CRM administrator add these IP ranges to your CRM whitelist:
  • 136.147.104.20 - 136.147.104.23
  • 136.147.96.20 - 136.147.96.23

Which custom SugarCRM fields won’t sync with Pardot?

Relate fields:
  • A relational field is a field that links to another object. We do not sync with arbitrary relational fields.  User assignment and Account are two special cases.
Datetime fields:
  • Sugarcrm handles timezones by storing the time using GMT. While Pardot can sync with this field type, it is important to note that depending on the timezone set for your instance of Pardot, the value may differ between the two systems.
