Editing and Disabling Folder Permissions

Last Updated: Apr 26, 2016 | Print this Article
Folder Permissions let you protect your content in folders and assign access to user groups. This feature is available to accounts with Custom User Roles, but you don't have to have Custom User Roles set up to use folder permissions. This article covers how to edit or disable folder permissions after you've set them up -- for set up instructions, see this article.

To Edit Folder Permissions

  1. Navigate to Marketing > Folders.
  2. Locate the folder you'd like to edit permissions for and click the gear icon.
  3. Select Permissions.
  4. From the Groups with Access dropdown, search for and select groups you'd like to grant access to. If you'd like to remove a group, click the red circle next to the group name.
  5. When finished editing, click Save.

To Disable folder Permissions

  1. Navigate to Marketing > Folders.
  2. Locate the folder you'd like to disable permissions for and click the gear icon.
  3. Select Permissions.
  4. Click Disable Permissions.
  5. Once permissions are disabled, the padlock icon next to the folder name will disappear.
