Engage for Salesforce1

Last Updated: Apr 26, 2016 | Print this Article

Engage for Salesforce1 is a real-time service that informs you about prospect activity you might be interested in. It matches prospects based on filter criteria and displays them in a card-based feed view. Some basic filters come predefined; however, you can create your own filters to display the most relevant prospects. There are three major components to Engage: Filters and Marketing Actions, and Add to Nurture List.

To access, open Salesforce1 and then tap Engage.

Before you can access Engage in Salesforce1, an administrator will need to set it up and add the Add to Nurture List functionality. See Engage setup instructions here, and Add to Nurture setup instructions here.

Filters

Filters let you define your own criteria and populate a list of matching prospects in almost real-time. You can filter prospects based on activities and location -- for example, you might be interested in what kinds of marketing materials prospects have interacted with, or what territory they are in. See this article for more information on filter criteria. You can view, add, edit, and delete filters from within Engage Alerts and Engage for Salesforce1.

Engage for Salesforce1 opens to your most recently viewed filter. To view all of your filters, tap the filter name. Tap a different filter name to switch. When you tap a filter name, a toolbar will slide up from the bottom of the screen with Add, Edit, and Delete icons.
