Mapping Your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Lead Fields to Contact Fields

Instructions for MSCRM 2011

You will also need to map the lead fields to corresponding contact fields so that the data will transfer over when you convert a lead into a contact.
  1. Click Settings in the bottom left.
  2. Click Customization in the top left navigation.
  3. Click Customize The System.
  4. Click on Entities.
  5. Double click on Lead.
  6. Click 1:N Relationships in the left navigation.
  7. Double click on the row that says contact_originating_lead with the Primary Entity value showing Lead and the Related Entity value showing Contact.
  8. Click Mappings in the left navigation.
  9. Click New.
  10. Select one of your Pardot Lead field names in the Source Entity Attributes list on the left and the corresponding Pardot Contact field name in the Target Entity Attributes list on the right.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Repeat steps 9-11 above for the rest of your Pardot fields.

Instructions for earlier versions of MSCRM

Please note: Microsoft Dynamics version 4.0 or higher is required to use the connector in Pardot. You will also need to map the lead fields to corresponding contact fields so that the data will transfer over when you convert a lead into a contact.
  1. Click Settings in the bottom left.
  2. Click Customization in the top left navigation.
  3. Click Customize Entities.
  4. Double click on Lead.
  5. Click 1:N Relationships in the left navigation.
  6. Double click on the row that says contact_originating_lead with the Primary Entity value showing Lead and the Related Entity value showing Contact.
  7. Click Mappings in the left navigation.
  8. Click New.
  9. Select one of your Pardot Lead field names in the Source Entity Attributes list on the left and the corresponding Pardot Contact field name in the Target Entity Attributes list on the right.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Repeat steps 8-10 above for the rest of your Pardot fields.
