Adding Prospects to Lists

Lists are groups of prospects that can be used to send list emails or to build drip marketing programs. This article walks through several ways to add prospects to your lists.

Note: For most of these methods, you'll need to create lists before you can add prospects to them. See Creating Lists for instructions.

Add to List from Prospect Record

  1. Navigate to Prospects > Prospect List.
  2. Select the prospect by clicking on their name.
  3. Click on the Lists tab.
  4. Use the List Memberships dropdown to select lists to add the prospect to.
  5. Click Save lists button to save.

Your prospect will now be a member of the lists that you have selected. This video walks through adding a prospect to a list from the prospect record.  Click here to expand the video.

Add Multiple Prospects to a List

Add prospects by hand-selecting various prospects from a prospect table:

  1. Navigate to Prospects > Prospect List. 
  2. Filter your prospects using the criteria for your list.
  3. Mark any prospect you'd like to add to the list.
  4. In the dropdown at the bottom of the table, select Add to List.
  5. Select the list to which you would like to add the prospects.
  6. Click Go.

Your prospects will be added to the list.

Add Prospects to Lists from Prospect Table

You can use this method to add all prospects in a table view to a new or existing list.

  1. Navigate to Prospects > Prospect List. 
  2. Filter your prospects using the criteria for your list.
  3. Click Tools then select Add to list.
  4. Select from one of two options: Create a New List or Add to an existing list. If you add to an existing list, click the list you wish to add the prospects to. If you create a new list, follow prompts. See Creating Lists for more information on list options.
  5. Click Add to List (or Create list if you've created a new list) to save.

Small lists will be created instantly. Larger lists will be created in the background and you will be notified via email upon completion.

Other Ways to Add Prospects to Lists

If you have a verified CRM connector, you can also add a prospect to a list from within the CRM if the CRM Visible option is enabled for that list.

You also have the option to add multiple prospects to a list by setting up an Automation RuleSegmentation Rule, performing a CSV import, or in the completion actions for a Form or Form Handler. Additionally, prospects can be added to lists based on pre-defined values for Default Fields or Custom Fields.
