Adding the Pardot Activities Iframe to Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Instructions for MSCRM 2011

To add the Pardot Activities iframe to the Dynamics user interface, you will want to follow the steps below for both Contacts and Leads:
  1. Click Settings in the bottom left.
  2. Click Customization in the top left navigation.
  3. Click Customize The System.
  4. Click on Entities.
  5. Double click on Lead or Contact (depending on which record type you are trying to show activities for.
  6. Double click Form.
  7. Click on the Main form.
  8. Click on the insert tab and click on Add an IFRAME.
  9. On the General tab, make the name IFRAME_Pardotactivity
  10. Make the URL https://pi.pardot.com/prospect/activity/source/mscrm/email/{email}
  11. Make sure that Restrict cross-frame scripting is unchecked.
  12. Click OK.
  13. Double click on the new iframe in the layout.
  14. Click the Formatting tab.
  15. Set the layout to Two columns.
  16. Set the Number of Rows to 8.
  17. Ensure the Scrolling is set to Never.
  18. Click OK to close the Iframe Properties dialog window.
  19. Click Form Properties to open the Form Properties dialog window.
  20. In the Form Libraries section, click Add and then New at the bottom of the popup.
  21. Give the name, pi_pardot_main_library.
  22. For Type, select Script (JScript), then click Save and Close.
  23. Return to form properties and double click on the newly created Form Library.
  24. In the source window, add the following code then click OK:
  25. For Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2010 and earlier editions, check the box for Event is enabled and add the following script: Screen Shot 2013-03-20 at 10.39.58 AM
  26. Hit save and click on the newly created library to bring into view.
  27. Scroll to Event Handling and click Add.
  28. Change library to the one that was just created and list function as window.OnLoadPardot Screen Shot 2013-03-20 at 10.40.16 AM
  29. Click OK.
  30. Save and Publish the form.

Instructions for earlier versions of MSCRM

Please note: Microsoft Dynamics version 4.0 or higher is required to use the connector in Pardot. To add the Pardot Activities iframe to the Dynamics user interface, you will want to follow the steps below for both Contacts and Leads:
  1. Click Settings in the bottom left.
  2. Click Customization in the top left navigation.
  3. Click Customize Entities.
  4. Double click on Lead.
  5. Click Forms and Views.
  6. Double click Form.
  7. Click Add an IFRAME in the Common Tasks menu.
  8. On the General tab, make the name IFRAME_Pardot.
  9. Make the URL https://pi.pardot.com/prospect/activity/source/mscrm/email/{email}
  10. Make sure that Restrict cross-frame scripting is unchecked.
  11. Select Pardot for the Section.
  12. Click the Formatting tab.
  13. Set the layout to Two columns.
  14. Set the Number of Rows to 8.
  15. Ensure the Scrolling is set to Never.
  16. Click Ok.
  17. Click Form Properties.
  18. Highlight OnLoad and click Edit.
  19. For Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2010 and earlier editions, check the box for Event is enabled and add the following script:
  20. Click Ok and Save and Close. Then Publish the changes. A live lead should look more or less like the following image.
